Award season is in full swing now. Earlier this month London was host to the British Academy of Film and Television Film Awards and this coming Sunday we will witness the Oscars. The UK has a tremendous history of cinema, with the landscapes and landmarks of the isle providing the setting for films for decades. On the subject of film we thought we’d use this week’s blog to highlight some of the UK’s famous film travel destinations.

Cornwall is located in the South West of England, and is bordered by both the Baltic Sea and the English Channel. Cornwall has 300 miles of coastline, and is also home to Great Britain's most southerly promontory, The Lizard, and one of the most westerly points, Land’s End.
Looking to escape the hustle and bustle of central London? Well you don’t have to go far, there are a variety of properties that are great for an outer city escape. A great location to escape to is that of England’s South East corner. Some excellent accommodation includes The Forge in Sandwich, Soft Sands in Ramsgate, and Spelland Barn in Broad Oak, East Sussex.
East Anglia is one of three constituent parts of the East of England. Norfolk located in East Anglia is a low-lying county. Its northern and eastern boundaries are the North Sea coast and the north-west county is bordered by The Wash.
Scotland is the most mountainous out of the four countries in the United Kingdom, sharing a border with England to the South. Bordering the country to the east is the North Sea, and to the west is the Atlantic Ocean. The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh and was the first city in the world to have its own fire station. Like Rome, Edinburgh was built on seven hills.
Everyone needs a break at some point in the year, whether its at the beginning, middle or end. A great location to enjoy through the seasons this year is Devon. With various places to visit including Dartmoor National Park and West Devon, the English Riviera, the Heart of Devon, North Devon, Plymouth and South Devon you will be sure to have a great time.
