English Tourism Week

It's English Tourism Week! Lasting from the 16th of March to the 24th the week is a celebration of events showcasing the quality and vibrancy of the tourist sector in England. Tourism is one of the England's most vibrant industries with millions flocking into the country each year to visit world renowned sites and hidden gems they've heard about through the grapevine.
What better way to celebrate tourism in England than to provide our readers with a list of some of our favourite places to visit in England, this was a hard list to create. We really are spoilt for choice.

Stonehenge
Ancient, mysterious and world famous. Stonehenge is the constant subject of various theories and studies that still to this day aim to determine the origins and purpose of the enormous structure. Found in Wiltshire the site is also neighbour to the Avebury complex which was recently voted the second best UNESCO World Heritage Site in the world.

Tower of London
A list of the greatest attractions in England wouldn't be complete without a trip into the capital. London is crammed with world famous attractions, some of which are easily amongst the top in England. Our favourite London attraction is The Tower of London. The tower has been a fixture in London's history for nearly 1000 years. Filled with entertaining and informative exhibitions the tower is also home to the magnificent Crown Jewels, Traitors Gate and the Beefeaters and Ravens.

Eden Project
Instantly recognisable due to the surreal and striking enormous domes that house a wild variety of tranquil plant life the Eden Project is a must for nature lovers. The domes house a variety of climates so as to create a great level of diversity for both scientists and visitors alike. The grand domes are found in the county of Cornwall, synonymous with seaside, sun and surf.

Of course these are just our top three, there are hundreds of fantastic attractions to be found throughout the country. There are also some fantastic places to say, no accommodation is more English than the cottage and we have lots to choose from! Let us know your favourite place to visit in England and where you intend to visit next!
