Guest Post: The Benefits of Staying In A Holiday Cottage

So you're planning your holiday, but don't know what type of accommodation to choose? If you've not stayed in a holiday cottage before then you're missing out! A holiday cottage is especially beneficial for families and here are some of the reason why:
Make yourself at home
A holiday cottage comes fully furnished so it's a place where you can easily make yourself at home. If you have babies/young children it might be easier for them to feel more settled, plus hotels can have a 'cold' feeling to them.

More room for the kids to play
Kids might get restless in a hotel room and apart from playing 'hide and seek' between the bathroom and bedroom there are not many places to go. A cottage provides a lot more space so the kids can go around and explore the accommodation. It might also be possible for them to play outside too if the cottage is in an area away from traffic, which is often the case.

No annoying neighbours
In a holiday cottage you won't have to worry about your child screaming/crying and disturbing the guests in the neighbouring rooms because...you're the only ones there! Alternatively you won't have to put up with neighbours banging doors or having their TV too loud.

Follow your own schedule
Staying at a holiday cottage means you can make your own schedule. You don't have to be up at the crack of dawn to make sure there's something left on the breakfast buffet and you don't have to be home by a certain time to make sure there's someone still working on reception.

Whole family can stay together
If you have a large family it might be hard (and expensive) to coordinate rooms for everyone in a hotel whereas in a cottage everyone can be together and you'll easily sort out who's in which room.

No disturbances
You won't be disturbed by hotel cleaning staff or have to ask for extra toilet paper/ pillows because you'll have everything you need at your disposal or you can at least go out and buy it and take the remainder home with you. The owners may also be a bit more laid-back when it comes to arrival and departing times compared with hotels.

Cater for yourself
The ready-to-use kitchen is a great opportunity to cook exactly what you want. If you have picky kids then you won't have to worry about them not finding anything to eat in a restaurant. There might even be a BBQ at the cottage so you can make use of that. It's also a perfect way of saving money!
If cooking isn't your thing, but you'd still rather stay in you could order a mouth-watering takeaway and have it delivered right to your door! It couldn't be any easier.

  2. Thanks for such a nice information. The fun and excitement of your hard-earned holidays largely depend on the place you choose to stay, however exotic the destination is. So holiday cottages are best option. They provide a very relaxing and hassle-free accommodation.
